Ms. Yuanlin QIU, Counsellor of Commerce Attaché Embassy of the People’s Republic of China said “Bilateral trade between Germany and China has grown in the last three years despite the pandemic, and I think this is due to the active participation of SMEs on both sides.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and China. 50 years ago, the annual bilateral trade volume between Germany and China was less than USD 300 million, less than half of today’s bilateral trade volume in one day. In 2021, the bilateral trade volume exceeded the €240 billion mark, and China has been Germany’s largest trading partner, Germany’s second largest export destination and Germany’s largest source of imports for six years in a row.”

Mr. Bing Xu, Deputy Director of China Foreign Trade Centre has further introduced China Import and Export Fair, “This year’s fair is full of highlights. There are more than 25,000 exhibitors. SGS as an international commodity testing company and Bank of China Frankfurt Branch as a financial company introduced their service, which is much needed during international procurement.
