IFA will open on schedule

The 60th IFA will open as scheduled in Berlin from September 3 to September 5, 2020. This year’s IFA has three important sections: IFA Global Press Conference,Shift Mobility Meets IFA Next, and IFA Business Retail & Meeting Lounges. It is understood that Huawei, Honor, and other “Chinese brand” companies will be exhibiting at IFA. Following the brilliant appearance of future consumer electronics products such as “5G” and “Smart Home” last year, this year IFA will continue to promote the future development of home appliances and other new technogies.

It is worth noting that in the post-pandemic era, it is not easy for organizations to hold exhibitions as scheduled. As the most influential and well-known annual consumer electronics event, IFA has attracted a large number of visitors from all over the world in previous years. Therefore, the organizer must ensure the safety and health of participants through effective health protection measures such as controlling social distance and the flow of people. Under this special circumstance, IFA2020 will not be open to the public, and only invited audiences can participate. It is also worth noting that Jens Heithecker as IFA Executive Director has stated that offline exhibitions are still the core of the IFA exhibition, and for partners who cannot be present, IFA will provide synchronized online activities to ensure audience can participate remotely.

In the context of the huge impact of the pandemic on the global economy and trade, holding the 60th IFA exhibition as scheduled, helping the consumer electronics and home appliance industries gradually recover, building remote platform of the IFA exhibition ,etc. All these measures fully demonstrate the confidence and responsibility of the IFA exhibition. It will certainly play an important role in restoring the global economy and tapping potential markets.

By 2020,  the Foundation German and Chinese Culture and the German TVT Media Group have provided five years of high-quality media services for the Berlin Exhibition Group. With the “Made in China” business cards appearing on the international stage, Chinese brands have become an indispensable part of the IFA exhibition. As the organizer of the IFA exhibition, Messe Berlin GmbH set up a media center partly focusing on Chinese audiences for the first time last year. This year, the media service center, which will be operated by the Foundation German and Chinese Culture and TVT, will also continue to provide Chinese exhibitors and Chinese visitors with the latest and most in-depth exhibition reports, and provide a new platform for Chinese and foreign exhibitors who are interested in cooperation.
