The proportion of people in need of care in Germany is rising. As a result, the demand for care places is increasing. However, the capacities of existing care facilities are already being used to capacity. The construction of new facilities suitable for nursing care, as well as the renovation of existing ones, is therefore urgently needed. However, these construction projects are associated with high costs. Therefore, the care sector is dependent on efficient financial support.
While the construction costs of care facilities have to be covered, the shortage of care workers has to be addressed. According to the study, there could be a shortage of about 670,000 to one million care workers in 2050 due to demographic factors alone.
Promoted by demographic change and the resulting natural growth, investment in nursing care real estate is considered a future-oriented and safe investment choice. The care market as part of the German healthcare system is attracting the interest of Chinese investors. There is also interest on both the German and Chinese sides in a fruitful exchange of skilled workers. However, many investors and cooperation partners in the training sector lack the necessary prior knowledge of the German care market.
In this context, we have written an analysis report on the German care market and would like to provide more information on the German care market in order to further deepen mutual trust and give new impetus to the joint partnership.
