German and Chinese small and medium companies cooperative forum took place on Sep.19 in Shanghai. Members from the federal association of small and medium-sized businesses from German ecological, medical equipment, new materials, smart production and culture creativity, attended the forum and joined the network with more than 200 entrepreneurs and representatives from industrial parks from Shanghai, Suzhou, Zhejiang, Henan, Hunan.
This forum was held by the chinese committee of the federal association of small and medium-sized businesses(BVMW),BVMW is a cross-industrial and political independent federal association. As the voice of small and medium-sized businesses, its members include, city municipal administration, federal administration, universities and a few state-owned businesses or multinational companies, which include 300 “invisible champion companies”. Since its establishment in 1978, BVMW has become the largest commercial force for SMEs in Germany and even Europe.
In the past three years, facing the enthusiasm of German SMEs inspired by the “Belt and Road” initiative, the Federation established a China Committee at the end of 2018 to specialize in Sino-German cooperation needs. Its permanent office is located in the Shanghai Enterprise Service Building. The members of the China Committee include entrepreneurs and industry experts, and have extensive experience in marketing, procurement, law, project implementation, cross-cultural communication, and business services. The China Committee and the BVMW Federal Headquarters work closely to provide local support for member companies to successfully conduct business activities in China in accordance with their purpose; at the same time, assist Chinese companies that develop business in Germany and the EU to link BVMW’s service network support.
Currently the federal adminstration has more than 300 offices in Germany, and liaison agencies in more than 40 countries and regions around the world. It holds more than 2,000 events every year. The strong service team and rich service content make the Federation the most powerful in Germany , as the few associations whose membership has maintained steady growth.
Shanghai becomes the only city in China that has long term cooperation agreement with BVMW, which is a milestone. For many of the german entrepreneurs, it was their first time to be in China. The vitality of Shanghai’s counterparts in China and their network in China are amazing. The organizers stated on the spot that they will continue to work hard to continuously improve the exchange activities between Chinese and German entrepreneurs in various themes and forms, and help all parties to achieve mutual benefit.
